I want to get close and personal with the horses. I do not want to watch them on the giant TV screen.

    Most track announcers use 10×50′s

10×50′s give you a nice wide panoramic view. They are very heavy, to be toting around all day. I have several pair of different sizes. If I have seating for the day, I’ll take the 10×50′s. If I’ll be walking around all day, I’ll take my Nikon 9×25′s. I put them around my neck, and never even notice that I’m carrying them around.
