What are binoculars called when they’re the kind used on a boat?
stevemdfwtx asked:
Is there a different term, or do you still call them binoculars?

As far as I know they are called the same.
A telescope?
Marine binoculars.
“BIG EYES”
The same bud.
Even if they are Waterproof Marine Binoculars…still “binocs”.
Some people buy the more expensive ones with “image stabilization” to counteract the movement of the boat.
Also most boat people prefer 10X50 for a better viewing field again because the boat is usually moving alot.
Also Bikini Eyes!
Good question.
They are still called binoculars, but often the name is shortened. My husband and I called them “binos”.
SPY GLASSES
“Bring ‘em nears”
